Jennifer HurleyDirector of Operations
Jennifer has worked with both NGOs and transnational corporations on creating sustainable change. Alongside management and training experience, in recent years her work has included research & policy development. Her field of expertise is Corporate Social Responsibility and she has published widely on this issue within the garment industry. She has a Ph.D. in International Political Economy “I believe that, for life to be deeply rewarding and a rich, abundant experience, work should fulfil and inspire us (regardless of the kind of work we do). At Lamont, we work with corporate and personal values to achieve transformations that amaze me every single time. Values endure across cultures, religions, ethnicity, age and gender. By working with values, we tap into our shared humanity and understand each other in new ways which transform the way we work. By exploring shared values, we develop a shared vision of how we want to work together and what we wish to achieve. When we tap into these values, we can release potential that we never knew existed: magnificent teamwork; out-performing targets; working with ease and flow; creative solutions to seemingly insoluble problems; meetings that inspire and energise. Work can become a place where we feel a genuine sense of community; where we seek to stretch ourselves, to create new challenges so that we can experience the best in ourselves and to make a truly meaningful contribution. We begin to see how the work we do contributes to a greater good, not only within our teams and our company, but also within society. In that way, our company and our jobs become a force for good in the world. It may seem too good to be true, but I’ve seen it happen so often now that I believe in this process completely. To me, it is true magic!” Talk with Jennifer on 0781 5955 782 |
