Roger SalmonSenior Associate
Roger worked as an investment banker for 19 years, mainly with N M Rothschild where he was a Director in the Corporate Finance Department (1981-90). He was also the first Railway Franchising Director (1993-96), in which role he created a new highly flexible and high-trust organisation to develop the railway contractual structure and sell the new franchises. The task was widely seen as impossible and the team Roger built and led developed a completely new product that worked commercially, that protected the interests of passengers, that delivered value for money and that enabled 25 high-value transactions to be closed within the extraordinarily tight timescales. This was all done in a politically highly charged atmosphere with a consistently adverse press. Roger has also worked as a non-executive director in Hyder plc (a FTSE-250 company) and in private start-up, as a business consultant and as Bursar of King’s College, Cambridge. |
